"When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." Mosiah 2:17

"Good morning, missionaries. The bushes and trees you are looking at
are extremely dense and filled with large, ugly-looking, poisonous,
spiders and humungous ants.  Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to cut a
4 ft path from the road to Sis. Rodita's house using only machetes.  As always,
should you or any of your fellow missionaries be maimed or killed, the senior
couple will disavow any knowledge of your actions.  This tape will
self-destruct in five seconds.  Good luck, missionaries."

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!
JUNE 2014

Dear Elder and Sister Caycayon,
Our Relief Society wanted to do a service project that involved the missionary in our ward (my daughter), so they decided to collect things to send to the people in the Philippines. Because it is being sent by boat, I'm assuming that you probably won\t receive the box until mid-June.  I'm not sure if my daughter will still be in your area by that time or not, but I hope that you will be inspired to get these things to the people that would benefit the most from them.
Thanks!
C. McC

Dear Sis. Mc C,
We received the boxes you sent and want to thank you and your ward for your generosity and service for the Boholano families that received your donations. Please let your ward know that their donations were deeply appreciated by those who received them.
Salamat kaayo,
Sis. Caycayon

JULY 2014

"The Mission of the Liahona Children's foundation is to nurture the potential of children to lead healthy and productive lives by eliminating malnutrition
and providing educational opportunities among LDS children and their friends."

We had the privilege of working with the Leflers- Beau, Audrey, Bentz, Amy, Jorie and baby makes six (he's sleeping). This young family came to Bohol for their vacation...not just for family fun but also to carry on their family tradition.  Vacations are for service and service is fun.  They ran the screening for malnourished children. Our missionaries helped to weigh and measure the children.

Zone leaders: "Hey we're helping to move a house.  Would you like to come and help?"
Us: "Sure.  We'll bring our truck and haul everything."

"No Sister, not move house...move a house.
You know, cutting the legs, lifting it and moving it from one place to another."

"How many missionaries does it take to move a house?"
14 to move it, one to encourage and the big luna, Elder Caycayon
to give directions and take the pictures.

Only in the Philippines!

Called to serve in the
Philippines Cagayan de Oro Mission

Called to serve Him, heav'nly King of glory,
Chosen e'er to witness for his name,
Far and wide we tell the Father's story,
Far and wide his love proclaim.
Called to know the richness of his blessing
Sons and daughters, children of a King
Glad of heart, his holy name confessing,
Praises unto him we bring.
Onward, ever onward, as we glory in his name;
Onward, ever onward,as we glory in his name;
Forward, pressing forward, as a triumph song we sing.
God our strength will be; press forward ever,
Called to serve our King.
